She was crowned as Miss Universe Japan on April 3, 2008 after competing with over 4000 other girls vying for this coveted title. She currently attends Nihon University and majors in physical education. She is the official representative of Japan to the Miss Universe 2008 pageant that will take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 14, 2008.
